VED Srl is pleased to announce its new partnership with UTComp, a global leader in non-destructive testing for composite materials. Through this licensing agreement, VED Srl joins the international network of UltraAnalytix® licensees, expanding the range of services offered for the inspection and management of industrial assets.
Founded in 1970 and based in Italy, VED Srl specializes in the production and maintenance of composite material equipment (tanks, pipes, structures), as well as providing inspection, engineering, technical support, and project management services.
“We are honored to welcome VED to the UTComp family, further expanding our presence in Europe and beyond,” said Jo Anne Watton, CEO of UTComp. “VED has extensive experience working with industrial clients to meet their needs. Integrating UltraAnalytix® technology into their services will enable them to provide even more precise and reliable Fitness-for-Service assessments to their customers.”
Through this agreement, customers gain access to an innovative non-destructive and non-intrusive inspection method for assessing the reliability of tanks, pipes, and other industrial assets made of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP).
UltraAnalytix® enables a fast, accurate, and safe assessment of FRP assets, evaluating their structural integrity and corrosion levels. This approach helps prevent unexpected failures that could jeopardize public safety and the environment.
Alberto Blanco, Head of the CMA (Composite Material Applications) Business Unit at VED Srl, commented:
“We are excited to collaborate with UTComp and integrate UltraAnalytix® technology into our services. Our CMA Business Unit, specializing in the design, production, and on-site repair of composite material equipment, will now be able to offer customers a complete solution for the management and monitoring of their FRP assets. This will enable us to ensure reliable condition assessments, reduce plant downtime, and enhance the safety and efficiency of industrial facilities.”
